CEBU-BASED boxers Rodel Wenceslao of the Cebu-based Team Joeric Boxing and Adones Aguelo of Naris Singwangcha Promotions fight for the Asian Boxing Federation (ABF) lightweight belt tonight in Maasin City.
The two fighters had no trouble making the weight in yesterday’s official weigh-in.
Aguelo (26W-14L-2D-18KOs) tipped the scales at 135 pounds while Wenceslao (11W-12L-1D-4KOs) weighed 134 lbs.
Wenceslao’s promoter and manager Joeric Calisang is optimistic that his ward will be able to hurdle Aguelo.
“We already gave him the instruction, and he prepared for this fight with enough time. I’ve seen him change He now listens to his trainer. He’s more matured, so I am very hopeful he will execute the game plan well,” Calisang said.
