THE RADISSON Blu Hotel lit up its towering (32 feet high) Christmas tree last Nov. 10 with guests of honor Cebu Governor Hilario Davide III and his wife
Jobel Angan Davide.
With them were SM hotels and Conventions Corporation president Elizabeth Sy, executive vice president Peggy Angeles and Laurent Boisdron, general manager of the Radisson Blu.
A wonderful musical program waspresented featuring soprano Iona Ventocilla, tenor Arman Ferrer, the Mandaue Children’s Choir conducted by Dennis Sugarol, the University of the Visayas Chorale, and Charlene Nogra.
On this occasion the hotel launched a give back Responsible Business project that involves the Vicente Sotto Memorial Hospital Children’s Ward, as well as the following:
My Refuge House, an after care shelter for rescued survivors of sexual abuse,exploitation, and trafficking; Island Rescue Organization, for rescued animals; and Basadours, a volunteer group of storytellers and reading advocates.
Furthermore, for every attendee at the ceremony there was a pair of slippers destined for children of the Alpaco and Mainit Elementary Schools in Naga City. More than 300 were gathered.
Radisson Blu guests andpatrons can also make their donations by making a purchase of the Signature High Tea, or a gingerbread house. Books and toys are also accepted at the Giving Corner located at the hotel lobby.
