TALISAY remained untarnished in the 1st Samsam Gullas Cup as it beat Sibonga, 94-87, on Wednesday at the Carcar City Sports Complex.
The win pushed Talisay’s win-loss card to 6-0 as it remained in a class all on its own in Division A.
Former Adamson Baby Falcon Denzel Sabroso was Talisay’s high-point man with 21 points while Richmon Lapinid was a fierce presence inside with 17 points and 13 rebounds.
Sibonga suffered its sixth loss in a row and remains as the only team in the competition without a win.
In other matches, Minglanilla nipped Naga, 100-91, and San Fernando edged Carcar, 95-89.
