Unlike in previous years, the service firearms of all policemen across the country will no longer be taped shut during the celebration of Christmas and New Year.

Chief Supt. Noli Taliño, director of the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas, made the announcement as orded by Philippine National Police chief Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa.

“Our chief PNP believes that policemen are responsible and mature enough in using their firearms. No more gun muzzle taping this time,” he said.
