SOME 23 houses were damaged by fire that hit Sitio Magay in Barangay Tangke, Talisay City on Tuesday evening.
A toppled gas lamp in the house of Gemma Gasalatan was suspected to have caused the fire that was reported at 9:40 p.m., according to FO1 Jennifer Cuartel.
The fire was put out at past 11 p.m. Property damage was estimated to cost P300,000.
About 80 individuals were displaced. They are currently staying at the Barangay Hall.
Tangke barangay captain Perla Cabanes said fire victims already recieved foodpacks from the Talisay City Government.
