Inayawan shooting: Two pedicab drivers dead, 1 wounded
Two pedicab drivers were shot dead while another one was wounded after they were attacked by two unidentified men on a motorcycle in Sitio Sta. Cruz, Barangay Inayawan, Cebu City on Monday.
Noel dela Rosa and Pepito dela Rosa died during the shooting attack while Juphil Cañada survived the shooting.
PO3 Winston Ybañez of the Cebu City Homicide Section, however, said the victim was in critical condition at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center.
A witness told Ybañez that the pedicab drivers were on a drinking spree inside a vacant lot when they were fired upon at past midnight on Monday.
Police said the assailants used a .45 pistol in the attack since they recovered empty shells of the gun at the crime scene.
Ybañez said they were investigating the shooting and had yet to establish the motive of the attack.
