ONE youth group and a militant youth party-list group marked Valentine’s Day eve by distributing free condoms at the heart of Cebu City’s downtown Colon Street yesterday afternoon.
Chatch Calderon, coordinator of Youth for Sustainable Change (Y4SC) said their distribution of condoms is aimed at raising public awareness of the dangers of sexually transmitted diseases.
In its website, the Department of Health (DOH) said Central Visayas ranked third in the country on the most number of HIV cases with 3,464 cases.
Calderon said they coordinated with the DOH yesterday for the distribution of condoms. Akbayan Youth also joined in distributing eight boxes of condoms
