THE Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) has committed to uphold its mission of bringing business to the next level as it recently welcomed a new set of Board of Trustees (BOT) and officers.

Reelected CCCI president Melanie Ng, whose term will end in 2018, said this mission will be fueled with the same vigor and enthusiasm as in the past leadership.

Ng also expressed her gratitude to the outgoing trustees and officers for their invaluable support and dedication to attaining the chamber’s four thrusts.

The CCCI elected its new trustees and officers during the group’s general membership meeting Friday last week where Presidential Assistant for the Visayas Michael Dino was keynote speaker.

Among the newly elected officers for 2017-2018 were Antonio Chiu as vice president for finance and administration; Ted Locson Jr., as vice president for external affairs and relations; Virgilio Espeleta, vice president for business development; and Christian Paroan, vice president for membership development.

Also elected were Ronald Po as treasurer and lawyer Tomas Riveral as board secretary. Jimmy Chua and Francis Dy, meanwhile, were appointed as assistant treasurer and assistant board secretary, respectively.

Charles Kenneth Co will serve as the chairman of Cebu Business Month 2017, the chamber’s flagship project.

The newly elected trustees include Benedict Que of Golden Prince Hotel & Suites for services and Maximo Rey Eleccion representing the Cebu Bankers Club (CBC).

Moreover, the reelected trustees are Enrison Benedicto, Antonio Chiu, and Ted Locson, Jr. for industry; Melanie Ng, Christian Paroan, and Robinson Uy for trade; as well as Fr. Dionisio Miranda, SVD, and lawyer Tomas Riveral for services.

President Rodrigo Duterte himself is scheduled to lead the induction of CCCI’s new trustees and officers during a dialogue with the local business community today at the Waterfront Airport Hotel and Casino located at the Mactan Cebu International Airport complex in Lapu-Lapu City.
