I’M happy that last week’s road rage case finally reached a point of clear direction with suspect David Lim Jr. now facing a criminal complaint in court after staying in jail for two nights.
Lim’s camp advanced the theory that he only acted in self-defense from the victim’s male companions and offered a P300,000 cash reward to anyone who can present the whole video of the altercation that transpired last March 19.
Now that David Lim Jr. is out on bail, it is important that all parties exert effort to uncover the truth especially Ephraim Nuñal who was seen in the video being shot thrice by Lim.
The police should also avoid being influenced by anyone. I think everybody should remember that we are all here to search for the truth so that justice would be served and the guilty party be held accountable and responsible.

As expected Councilor Jerry Guardo left Team Rama to join the Bando Osmeña-Pundok Kauswagan (BO-PK) for political survival, but what is unfortunate is that Guardo is blaming Team Rama for leaving their ranks.
To tell you honestly, Guardo was once predicted to leave Team Rama due to his selfish interests. His exit only shows that he is not a principled person but one who takes undue advantage of the opportunities facing him.
And the incident is something that is expected in our country’s political culture, and it’s happening not only in Cebu but in other places as well.
It was not too long ago when Councilor Mary Ann Delos Santos complained about Guardo’s loyalty to Team Rama, claiming that he was “sleeping with the enemy.” Now both Delos Santos and Guardo are with BO-PK.
Now Guardo is at it again, this time blaming a party mate for his exit. Finger-pointing is an act of mental dishonesty and cowardice so why can’t Guardo be responsible and own up to his own act?
Pity but Guardo just showed his true color and made it easy for Team Rama to accept his exit from their camp since they don’t need politicians whose loyalty is indeed questionable.

President Digong Duterte is facing an impeachment complaint at the Lower House, but his allies in Congress say it won’t succeed because the administration still holds the super majority, and we all know that impeachment is a numbers game.
It is Vice President Leni Robredo who should be concerned since Duterte’s allies appear determined to impeach her. The “Age of Duterte” is upon us and it is a political reality. It has yet to be known if these impeachment moves can be good for our country.
