THE Philippine Hayashi-ha Shitoryukai Karatedo Team of Cebu bagged eight gold medals on Wednesday to win overall honors in the Panaad Karatedo Championships in Bacolod City.
Rafael Vidal and Yannah Cainila won two gold medals each for the team headed by Sensei Reynante Vidal.
Rafael Vidal topped the 54kg kumite and kata events in his division while Cainila ruled the 10-under kumite and kata intermediate category.
Stephen Durano dominated the male 18-years old kumite and bagged a silver in kata while Enzo Hipulan topped the 10-under kata intermediate and finished third in his division’s kumite event.
Ayanna Lein Vidal won gold in the 10-under kata while Maxinne Tayros snatched a gold in the 16-years old kata and a bronze in kumite.
