THE 1993 Dragons and the 1994 Bulldogs continued to run roughshod over the rest of the field in Division 1 as they beat their respective opponents in the University of San Carlos North Alumni Basketball Conference Summer League 2 Powered by Common Ground last weekend at the USC North Campus gym.

The Dragons tucked in two wins under their belt over the weekend as they toppled the 1986 Waveriders, 59-42, behind a balanced scoring attack led by Jade Ylanan, who had 14 points, three rebounds, four assists and two steals; and big man Bong Eleazar, who added 10 points, seven boards and four blocked shots.

They then outlasted the 1988 Barako, 71-68, as the duo Ylanan and Eleazar posted their usual stellar numbers and got help from Adrian Colinares, who pitched in 11 points and three boards.

The Bulldogs, meanwhile, kept in step with the Dragons as they ripped the 1987 Bro apart, 61-42. Oliver Faciol and James Lu were the main guys for 1994 in that match with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Both 1993 and 1994 now sport similar 5-0 win-loss records.

In other games, the 1982 Dominque Classics and the 1985 Legends evened up their records at 2-2 with contrasting wins.

The Classics routed the Waveriders, 65-39, as Jun Bantolinao and Nonelone Belocura had 22 and 18 markers, respectively.

The Legends got an incredible 24-point, 21-rebound performance from ex-pro Lou Regidor to vanquish the 1984 Knights, 56-53.
