THE 2001 Dynacast and Kogi-Q/Riway 37 kept their unbeaten records intact as they downed their respective Division B opponents in the 22nd Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletic Association (SHAABAA) Basketball Tournament last weekend at the Magis Eagles Arena in Canduman, Mandaue City.
Dynacast routed 1995 Saver’s Depot, 80-63, while Kogi-Q/Riway 37 got past the 2002 San Remigio, 77-70.
Dynacast now stands atop Division B with an unblemished 6-0 (win-loss) record while Kogi-Q/Riway remains in hot pursuit at 5-0.
Justin Osmeña led Dynacast with 18 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Kogi-Q/Riway 37, on the other hand, banked on a near quadruple-double from wily guard Dennis Que to vanquish San Remigio.
The lefty guard tallied 21 points, eight rebounds, eight assists and six steals in a scintillating performance that helped his squad keep in step with the leader.
In the other Division B game, 1996 White Gold Club destroyed Chick@Phil, 89-39, to even its record to 3-3.
Junie Alejandro paced the winners with 17 points while Gio Borromeo punched in 14 markers and six rebounds.
