Motor banca rescued off Cordova waters

A light passenger vessel was rescued early Thursday morning after its engine malfunctioned off the waters of Cordova, Cebu. The vessel was heading to Getafe, Bohol.
The motor banca was carrying around 50 passengers when the incident transpired. Nobody was reported injured.
The Cebu Station of the Philippine Coast Guard has advised the vessel owner to secure a certificate of sea worthiness from the Maritime Industry Authority before resuming its operations.
