A Gym Boxing pugs topple foes

BETS from the A Gym Boxing Club pulled off victories in last Saturday’s Cebu Boxing Revival leg 3 last Saturday at the Insular Square in Mandaue City.

Patrick Gantuangco, Benny Cañete, Rowel Nucos and Emmanuel Galo beat their respective foes in different weight classes in the fight card organized by the Amateur Boxing Association of the Philippines (ABAP) and the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Visayas.

Gantuangco won by split decision versus Marco Pomar of University of the Visayas (UV) Boxing Team in the main event (55-kilogram division) while Cañete won by unanimous decision versus Mardy Cardeno of Ten Thousand BC Boxing (52-kilogram division).

Nucos defeated CCSC Boxing Gym’s William dela Cruz via a second-round technical knockout in the school boys/developmental division while Galo toppled Wyn Cabradilla of Ten Thousand Voxing club by split decision in the kiddies/novice division.

Other results: Eduardo Jimenez beat Jimpol Dignos (46kg), Jimboy Cais won against Walter Sabaybay (49kg), Lenbert Cainap edged Jethro Abaquita (48.5kg), Yerodge Gura beat Ken Bellita (46kg). Archie Arsolen of Labogon defeated Cedrick Benlot (37.5kg), Alex Del Rio won by second-round TKO versus John Gabriel Tapales (42kg), and Charles Darwin Dosdos beat Jake Tabanao (44kg).

The fourth leg is scheduled tomorrow (Saturday) at the South Town Center in Talisay City.
