PLASTIC BAN IN LAPU

Netizens are supporting a Lapu-Lapu City–proposed ordinance to enforce a plastic ban in the city to solve its garbage problems.

Ydna Ringba wrote, “This is good. Please start the implementation as soon as possible to prevent flooding.”

Consing Ybanez said, “It’s time to have this law. Because people in the city don’t segregate their wastes in their own homes. I hope this will be pushed through.”

Analou Bravo also commented, “This is useless. They’re banning plastics because it blocks the drainages. I think what they should do is hold regular clean-up.”

Bobby Chua said instilling discipline comes first. “We should first let people learn discipline. We should all be responsible enough to not throw our garbage anywhere. That’s basic.”
