Mamba outlasts Futuro/Nexcare in Randall Cup
TEAM Mamba scored an 87-74 overtime victory against Futuro Sport/Nexcare in the Homeboys Basketball 4th Randall Cup at the Archdiocesan Shrine of San Nicolas gym last Saturday.
Bryan Negapatan led Team Mamba with 19 markers as the team moved up to 3-1 (win-loss) in the standings.
Team Mamba completed the win by scoring 16 points in overtime while limiting its opponents to just three points.
Futuro/Nexcare had the chance to win it in regulation but Ryan Miro, who led the losing side (1-3) with 16 points, failed to convert at the charity stripe to force an extension.
In the other game, MB Scalar rolled past Homeboys Original, 73-60.
MB Scalar remains unbeaten at 4-0.
Mark Jayson Marfil led the team with 20 points.
Harbour City Dimsum (2-2) won via default against CY Boys All Star (0-4).
