Leylam logs second win in Aboitiz Football Cup
LEYLAM FC, one of the favorites in the inter-company division of the ongoing 19th Aboitiz Football Cup, scored a lopsided 9-0 victory over Titans FC yesterday at the Paref Springdale football field.
Rene Sanchez and Michael Pacite each scored three goals, Ruffy Llorente added two and Baris Tasci, son of Leylam FC owner Ugur Tasci, chipped in one to help Leylam FC cruise to its second straight victory in the tournament.
In the other inter-company division match, Makoto FC punished Primary FC, 7-0.
Meanwhile, Convergys and Timex each scored six goals in victories over their respective opponents in the inter-BPO men’s division.
Convergys edged NCR, 6-1, while Timex silenced Eperformax, 6-0.
In the ladies inter-BPO division, Accenture edged Optum, 1-0, while MEZ beat Convergys’ women’s football team, 4-2, in the other match.
In the ladies open, Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu downed rival University of San Carlos, 2-0, while Tabor Hills FC beat Chicos United FC, 1-0.
