HOLIDAY FOR VIDAL

A lot of netizens were mixed in their reactions to Michael Dino, Presidential Assistant for the Visayas, lobbying for Malacañang to declare October 26 a holiday for the burial of the late Cebu Archbishop Emeritus Ricardo Cardinal Vidal.

Bily Ray Papa wrote, “Yes if it’s Vidal, thats something to be sad and be solemn.

A netizen named Luc Alex Raphael Lame said, “A quick look at where Filipino educational institutions and students rank world wide and you quickly get a clear picture of where the focus in this country should be.”

Another netizen, Luke Hodge said, “How many more holidays does this country want? This is the reason the Peso is at its weakest in 11 years! Use your brains!”
