The Visayan Electric Co. (Veco) said a power service interruption will be felt in Metro Cebu Sunday to make way for service upgrade and maintenance of their lines in Cebu City, Mandaue City and Liloan town areas from November 11-16.
In its Facebook page, Veco enumerated the areas that will be affected and the power outage schedule.
On Saturday, the power interruption in barangay Mabolo occurred from 9 a.m. until 3 pm to facilitate transformer upgrade.
Barangay Banilad, both the Cebu City and Mandaue City portions, will experience the outage from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m., while barangays Catarman, Poblacion, Tayud and Suba in Liloan town in Northern Cebu will experience brownout from 6 a.m. until 5 pm.
On Tuesday, Sambag I (11:00 a.m. -12:00 nn), Sambag II (9:00-10:00 a.m.), Canduman in Mandaue City (10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.), Guadalupe and Sapangaku ( 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.) will also experience power service interruption.
A 7 to 8-hour power interruption is also scheduled in Labangon and Talamban areas for the installation and reconstruction of primary lines, and to conduct load balancing in some electrical poles on Wednesday.
Power is also expected to be out for the whole day, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., in barangay Busay for the upgrading of some electricity transformer on Thursday, while barangays Day-as, Zapatera and a portion of T. Padilla Street will experience the outage from 9:00 a.m. to noon.
