Bakbakan sa Catmon set tonight

THE Bakbakan Sa Catmon slugfest of Big Yellow Boxing Promotions will unfold tonight at the Catmon sports complex, Catmon town, northern Cebu.

All is set for the fight card after the main event protagonists Marjun Pantilgan and Nicong Calamba of Agusan del Sur passed the official weigh-in yesterday.

Pantilgan weighed in at 113 pounds while Calamba tipped the scales at 118 pounds. Their non-title fight is for eight rounds.

Pantilgan, one of Big Yellow Promotions’ top prospects, aims to log his third consecutive win this year. He holds a record of 16 wins (12 knockouts), five defeats and no draws while Calamba has a record of eight victories, 25 losses and four draws.

Aside from Pantilgan and Calamba’s bout, the fight card will also feature another Big Yellow Promotions’ fighter in Carlo Demecillo (8-4-0, 2KOs), who will fight Omega Boxing Gym’s Jay-ar Aliasot (6-1-0, 5KOs) for eight rounds in the bantamweight division.

The rest of the fight card will feature other prospects from Big Yellow Boxing in Clyde Azarcon (10-1-0, 4KOs), Eric Pulgo (2-0-0, 1KO) and pro debutant Audie Dacua. They will take on Royder Lloyd Borbon (5-1-1,5KOs) of Omega Boxing Gym, Rolien Getalada (0-4-0) and Welberto Rota (0-3-0), respectively.
