In their efforts to intensify “Oplan Isnabero,” the Land Transporation Franchising and Regulatory Board in Central Visayas (LTFRB-7) summoned 21 erring taxi drivers for allegedly refusing to convey passengers to their destination, today.

According to Jun Tumulak, LTFRB-7 Spokesperson, the summoned drivers will face complaints filed by passengers who they allegedly refused to convey.

Tumulak said the LTFRB-7 receives a high number of complaints during Christmas season because of the number of people rushing to the malls and supermarkets to buy their gifts.

“Christmas season is the time when most taxi drivers are known to commit franchise violations,” added Tumulak.

Tumulak also said they are planning to extend the program until January, next years because of the influx of tourists during the Sinulog Celebration.
