Student admits fake kidnapping

Police Chief Inspector Jacinto Mandal, chief of the Carbon Police Station, said the kidnap claims of a female college student was all made up.

The student admitted that she lost the collected money to be used to buy books which caused her to flee.

Mandal said the student was already reunited with her family, on Tuesday dawn after she was made to undergo a medical examination which showed that she was unharmed.
