THE second edition of the Cebu Executives and Professionals Chess Association (Cepca) Monthly tournament is slated this Sunday at the second level of the J Centre Mall in Mandaue City.
The monthly tournament serves as the official qualifiers for the Cepca grand finals slated December.
The tournament will have two divisions and follow a five-round Swiss system format.
Division A will have a five-minute handicapping time control for each round while division B will have a 15-minute time control.
The winning wood pusher in both divisions will take home P1,500 each. Second placers will win P1,000 while P500 goes to the third placers.
The top ladies and kiddies wood pushers will also receive prizes.
Registration fee for players in divisions A and B is pegged at P200 while the ladies and kiddies registration fee is P100 inclusive of refreshments during the tournament.
