CIT-U retains lead in Cetba bowling

The Cebu Institute of Technology University (CIT-U) bowlers solidified their hold of the lead in the second day of competition of the Alberto’s Pizza Bowling Tournament 10th Anniversary Invitational hosted by the Cebu Tenpin Bowling Association (Cetba) last Friday at the SM City Cebu Bowling Center.

CIT-U is at the top with a total pinfall of 4,993. Trailing at second to 9th places were SPTJJ Savers (4,992), Electromearg (4,977), Cetba Five Star (4,927), Rich Catsup (4,890), E.O. Buyco Consultants (4,742), Opascor (4,653), Hammerluck (4,560) and Cetba Juniors (4,129), respectively.

CIT-U had immediately taken the top spot with a total score of 2,584 during the first day of competition last February 16. It also had the highest team single with 949 pinfalls.

Jerry Davis got the highest individual single score in the men’s category with 227 pinfalls while Baby Bacon ruled the distaff side with her 182 pinfalls.
CIT-U, however, yielded the highest team single to SPTJJ Savers which managed 887 pinfalls.

This three-game series will have a total of P45,000 in cash prizes with the champion to bag P20,000. The second placer will get P15,000 while the third placer will go home P10,000 richer.
