Cebu PB approved financial assistance for slain policeman

The Cebu Provincial Board (PB) approved the release of P50,000 as financial assistance to the family of slain Minglanila cop, PO2 Evie Espina during their legislative’s regular session on Monday, February 26.

There were no objections raised on the resolution authored by Fourth District Board Member Sun Shimura.

Espina was killed on Monday, February 19, in a buy-bust operation after an alleged drug peddler Juvie Franza, opened fire at the operatives of the Minglanilla Police.

Franza also sustained gunshot wounds which caused his death.
