Nearly 3000 marijuana stalks uprooted in Cebu City

The City Mobile Force Company of Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) uprooted 2,822 stalks of marijuana in Sitio Mapa, Barangay Tagbao, Cebu City on Friday morning, March 02.

Superintendent Tim Alam, commander of the City Mobile Force Company, said that a concerned citizen reported a marijuana plantation in Sitio Mapa, which prompted his team to check the area.

Police operatives seized 1,285 fully grown and 1,537 young marijuana stalks with an estimated market value of P203,350.

The team raided the area on Friday dawn.

The authorities will conduct investigation to determine the owner of the plantation.
