5 arrested in separate Mandaue City police checkpoints

Five arrested persons are now detained after police authorities apprehended them due to possession of illegal drugs in Mandaue City on Thursday evening.

Three men and a woman were caught in possession of illegal drugs by personnel of Centro police precinct at a checkpoint along Zuellig street and Mantawi drive.

Among the arrested were Mcnheil Lacsao, 22, and John Harley Heyrosa, 20, both from Mandaue City; Wilson Singson, 35 of Carmen, Cebu; and Monico Calvario, 29, of Pinamungahan, Cebu.

Officers of Subangdaku police precinct also caught a jeepney passenger during the conduct of a checkpoint on the same night.

Police arrested Ramil Melendres, 24 and a resident of Lilo-an town, Cebu, who was caught in possession of small sachet of shabu.
