HIGHLY regarded wingman John Galinato will be playing for the National University Bulldogs in the UAAP.
Head coach Jamike Jarin, who has slowly built up a roster peppered with Cebuano talents, confirmed the recruitment.
Galinato is the son of local standout Abe Galinato and once played for the Univerity of San Carlos in high school before moving to Chiang Kai Shek College. There, he built a reputation as one of the more promising scorers in high school leading CKSC to several championships in the Metro Manila Basketball League and the Fil-Chinese league.
He also finished as the eighth ranked player in the NBTC High School Power Rankings.
Galinato also took part in the NBTC and Slam All-Star games this season.
Galinato now joins the likes of former Cesafi standouts Dave Wilson Yu and Theo Joshua Flores in an NU roster that is looking to make it back into title contention.
