THE M. Lhuillier-University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters and the Cebu Landmasters-University of San Carlos (USC) Warriors will be gunning for the top spot in the standings when they battle separate opponents in the 2018 Cesafi Partner’s Cup today at the Cebu Coliseum.

The Warriors will be up against a tough opponent in the Casino Active-University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Jaguars at 3:30 p.m.

USC is coming off a rousing debut, where it toppled the Cebu Institute of Technology-University (CIT-U), 81-71, last Saturday.

Cesafi Mythical Five member John Reel Saycon was sensational in that game as he fired in 33 points to carry his team to the victory.

However, USJ-R will not be an easy foe, especially with the return of reigning league MVP Jaybie Mantilla, who will be conspiring with RJ Dinolan, Fletcher Galvez and Tricky Peromingan.

UC, on the other hand, will be taking on CIT-U, eyeing a good follow-up to its 86-74 win over the Southwestern University (SWU)-Phinma Cobras.

UC led by as many as 24 points before stepping off the gas pedal, which gave the SWU-Phinma the opening it needed to pull within four down the stretch.

However, the Webmasters refused to blink and came up with clutch shots to pull off the win.

In the high school division, USC will also be aiming for a second straight victory when it battles the USJ-R Baby Jaguars.

Games today:

Cebu Coliseum
2 p.m. – USC vs USJ-R (High School)
3:30 p.m. – USC vs USJ-R (College)
5 p.m. – CIT-U vs UC (College)
