Provincial Government awards scholarships to over 600 college students in Cebu

A total of 679 students in Cebu province were granted educational assistance under the Paglaum Scholarship program at the Capitol Social Hall, Cebu City on Monday morning (July 9).

Cebu Governor Honorable Hilario Davide and Vice Governor Agnes Magpale distributed the Certificates of Clearance to hundreds of students from different districts in Cebu.

The scholarship program, crafted by Magpale and former Board Member Gigi Sanchez, aims to help students in finishing their college degree.

“Paglaum is unique because it gives oppurtunuties to students who are not necessarily academic achievers but have expressed their sincere desire to finish their studies,” said Davide. /Gerard Vincent Francisco, USJ-R Journalism Intern
