TO HIGHLIGHT its 70th anniversary celebration, the Cosmopolitan Funeral Homes Inc. will hold a charitable running event dubbed the Run For Your Loved Ones 5K #RunInMeMoryOf on July 29.

The race starts at the Tesda compound near the Cebu IT Park and will finish at the Plaza Independencia.

The running event is part of Cosmopolitan Funeral Homes Inc.’s “70-70-70” celebration for its 70th anniversary.

The “70-70-70” program of Cosmopolitan Funeral Homes Inc. is a charitable activity that involves 70 communities around Cebu that will benefit in 70 various charitable projects to give back to the Cebuanos for making it to 70 years in the death care service industry.

“We all know how much Cebuanos are into wellness and also the Ironman 70.3 is closing in so it’s very fitting to get active before the big race by joining our first running event,” said Cosmopolitan Funeral Homes Inc.’s vice president for business development Cathleen Newnette Anzani in a press conference yesterday at the Dolce Cafe in Lahug, Cebu City.

“This running event also to give honor to our loved ones who have passed on that’s why we included the hashtag ‘Run in Memory Of’ so that we can make this running event special. The singlet has space where they can write down the name of their loved ones and what we mean loved ones it’s not just humans, you can also include your pets that passed on as well.”

Aside from Anzani, her co-organizers of the running event Jacqueline Baguio (HR manager), Christelle Lou Dychangco (VP for marketing and design), Holly Dawn Dychangco (VP for building development and CSR), Elbert Ebo (operations manager), Shelah Joaquino (VP for HR and admin), and race director Joel Juarez of Coco Running attended the press conference.

Registration fee is P350. Registration can be done at the RUNNR in Ayala Center Cebu and at Toby’s Sports in SM City Cebu.
