A settlement was reportedly reached between security guards and the nine Koreans with the management of the Mactan Isla Resort and Casino in the wake of last Friday’s attempted takeover.

Lawyer Gerry Carillo said the settlement meant that no charges will be filed against the security guards. He said bail will be posted for each of the persons involved in last Friday’s takeover attempt.

Supt. Eloveo Marquez, chief of the Lapu-Lapu City police’s Investigation and Detective Management Branch (IDMB) said 43 persons including four security guards and nine Koreans are temporarily detained at the Lapu-Lapu City Sports Complex.
