The Barug Team Rama bloc will seek to align itself with the Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio for next year’s elections.
Former Cebu City mayor Michael Rama confirmed that he plans to send a letter to the mayor expressing their group’s intentions to align with her group. “That is not a farfetched matter and we will see how the movement will accept us,” he said.
Rama said their priority now is completing their line-up for the May 2019 elections.
Rama is attending the Visayan Island Cluster Conference of the League of the Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) held in Cebu City which will be graced by President Rodrigo Duterte.
Rama claimed that he was invited by Special Assistant to President Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go and Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque to attend the event.
