The 1990-Bayfront kept its record spotless as it beat the 1995- Air Spencer/DM8Composites Shipbuilding, 62-51, in Division A of the 23rd Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Athletic Basketball Association basketball tournament last weekend at the Magis Eagles Arena in Canduman, Mandaue City.

Dave Lim punished 1995 as he collected 13 points and 17 rebounds to lead 1990 to its sixth straight win.

Also remaining unbeaten was the 1996-Vic Enterprises, which leaned on the monster double-double performance of Ted Lee, who had 18 points and pulled down 18 boards in a 88-53 rout of the 1989-Chick@Phil. The win was 1996’s fourth in a row.

Erickson Arienza scored 18 points to help the 1994-Corenergy snatch its first win of the tournament, a 52-40 victory over the 1992-Edcon Glass.

In Division C, the 2009-Crossfit Subtero won its third game in a row with 75-72 win over the 2011-Chioson Development.

Niel Benedicto paced the winning side with 13 points as 2009 improved to 3-0 (win-loss).

However, the 2012-Island Premium Paints and the 2015-People’s General are within striking distance. 2012 edged the 2014- Byakkobar, 64-59, behind the stellar performance of Patrick Go, who had 20 points and seven rebounds.

Then, 2015 eked past the 2008-Cebu Cube Ice Corp., 55-52, as Niño Araw-Araw had 16 points, two rebounds and two assists.

2012 and 2015 have identical 3-1 cards.
