DREAM big, work hard, make it happen. This is Tracy Maureen Perez’s motivational mantra for success. Perez is a Binibining Cebu pageant returnee, this year for the town of Madridejos.
“Deep in my heart, this is what I truly want to achieve for myself, for the people who believe in me—despite not making it last year—and of course for my beautiful town Madridejos, who gave me trust and full support,” she said.
Perez describes Madridejos as the “Alaska of the Philippines” because of its rich fishing grounds.
“The industry helped Madridejos become the prosperous municipality that it is today,” she said.
Madridejos marks Isda Festival in honor of its fishermen and their bountiful catch.
A place of interest in the town is Kota Park, an old Spanish fort located in Barangay Lawis, Madridejos.

Education: BA Psychology in the University of the Philippines (UP) Cebu
Title: Miss Barili Kaumahan 2017
MARIE Leolie Ursal believes that Binibining Cebu 2018 is her opportunity to promote advocacy for children and elderly people.
The 18-year-old Psychology student is the pride of the Municipality of Barili.
“Barili is a wonderful place to visit. We’ve got resorts, beaches, mountains, falls, a beautiful sunset —a total package of refreshing scenery,” she told Cebu Daily News.
In the town we can find Mantayupan Falls, the highest waterfall in Cebu.
Barili takes pride in Homemade Barili Cakes and its fresh goat and cow’s milk at the Molave Milk Station.
It is the home of Hospicio de San Jose de Barili,
one of the oldest hospices outside of Manila, which was built in 1925.
“Beauty and beyond. Experience these in Barili,” she quips.
