KAPUSO Primetime Queen Marian Rivera and Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes are expecting their second child.
Rivera shared the good news on her Instagram account by uploading an ultrasound image of their baby.
“My heart overflows with gratitude and humility. Dong and I, with our Zia, have been gifted with the miracle of life. Looking forward to meeting our “little one” soon,” the 34-year-old actress said.
Rivera received congratulatory messages from fellow celebrities Lucky Manzano, Anne Curtis, Candy Pangilinan, Rocco Nacino, Alyana Asistio, Bianca Umali, Diana Zubiri, Ash Ortega, Tim Yap, Rajo Laurel, Kyline Alcantara, and Iza Calzado, among others.
Rivera and Dantes’ firstborn Maria Letizia “Zia” Dantes had been wishing for a baby brother since last year.
Zia was born in 2015, a year after her parents tied the knot.
Dantes also shared the good news on his Instagram account yesterday.
But before he revealed Rivera’s pregnancy, he started his statement with the process of discernment after his name was reported as one of the senatorial candidates for 2019.
“And in the process of my discernment, I received His response in the most surprising and beautiful way. With overflowing joy, Marian and I, are happy to share with everyone that we have been blessed with another child! Natupad na rin ang matagal ng dasal naming mag-asawa, lalung-lalo na ni Zia,” he said.
He added that his discernment revealed that what is important is to be with his wife especially that they are expecting their second baby.
“Life has presented me with two good aspirations, and I can always rationalize to weigh the pros and cons. But I know that, at this point, I am being redirected to my reason of creation—my family. My humble service to the public will continue and it could take a different form or level in the future; but first, I have to ensure that my home is protected and secured before I can take care of others,” he said.
Dantes thanked his family and supporters for trusting his judgment.
He also asked everyone to pray for Rivera’s second pregnancy.
