The body of a 14-year-old girl was found inside the old Liloan public market early on Sunday morning (October 28).

Spo1 Careen Arcelo of Liloan Police Station said that blood was coming out of the nose and mouth of the victim who was identified as Analiza Peloriano, a grade 7 student of the Liloan National High School.

The victim died of multiple stab wounds.

Police are yet to identify Peloriano’s killer and the motive for her death.

But initial investigation showed that a passengerby heard a scream coming from the area where Peloriano’s body was found at around 1 a.m. on Sunday.

But said witness just ignored what he heard thinking that maybe it was just one of the bystanders in the area who was making noise.

It was only at around 7 a.m. when the same resident again passed by the area to buy bread when he noticed a body lying near a market cubicle.

The victim, a resident of Sitio Taboan, Barangay Cotcot, Liloan was wearing a short pants and T-shirt when found.

SPO4 Marcelino Servilla, who is handling Peloriano’s case, said that none of the residents in the area saw what happened to her or saw her killer.

Servilla said they continue to do follow investigation hoping to immediately solve Peloriano’s killing.
