Radaza firm on stand to rename Cebu airport

Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Paz Radaza maintained that the Cebu airport be renamed to Lapu-Lapu International Airport.

She responded to Presidential Adviser Adelino Sitoy who claimed that the airport’s name be retained.

Sitoy said it’s selfish to identify the airport to Lapu-Lapu when it should be identified to the whole of Cebu.

Radaza said she just want to give honor to the local chieftain who first fought the Spaniards.

The bill to rename the Cebu airport is pending in the House of Representatives.
