Cebu City, Philippines— Poro barged into the win column of the 9th Congressman Red Durano Cup after they slipped past Sogod, 95-92, in the lone game that was played on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, in Borbon.

Poro actually had the inside track on the easy win as they led by 10, 79-69, heading to the final period.

But Sogod tried to rally but eventually fell short at the final buzzer.

Dush Loon led the way for Poro, which now owns a 1-2 win-loss record, with 29 points

Chrislee Rivera scored 26 markers for Sogod, which now has the same record as their conquerors.

There were two other games on the schedule on Tuesday night but were cancelled because of a power outage in the area. /bmjo
