Cebu City, Philippines— Game 1 of the Asean Basketball League quarterfinal game between San Miguel Alab Pilipinas and Hong Kong Eastern gets underway Friday night, March 29, 2019, at the Hoops Dome in Lapu-Lapu City.

The matchup is expected to be huge, literally, as both teams will be parading two of the tallest players in the league in 7-foot-3 PJ Ramos of the Philippines and 7-foot-5 Samuel Deguara of Hong Kong.

The reigning champions Alab will be coming in as a slight favorite for being the second-seed team in the playoffs. Hong Kong is the seventh seed.

Game 2 of the series will be on April 3, 2019 at the Southorn Stadium in Wan Chai, Hong Kong. Should the series go the distance, Game 3 will be back at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan on April 7, 2019. /bmjo
