Cebu City, Philippines — Kapuso actor Edgar Allan Guzman hopes to try something like Ken Chan’s character in “My Special Tatay” in his upcoming projects in GMA Network.

This was his answer if he has a dream role during a press conference attended by members of Cebu Entertainment Group last weekend before a Kapuso Mall Show with “Dragon Lady” co-stars Joyce Ching and Tom Rodriguez at SM City Cebu.

“Sarap gawin noon. Hindi sa nagmamayabang o inaangat ang sarili kong upuan pero I think isa sa tingin ko nag e-excel ako sa role na yan,” he said.

(I like to do that. I am not boasting or promoting myself but I think I will also excel portraying that role.)

He said that he has been vocal to everyone when asked what dream role he wants to portray in the future.

Boyet is Chan’s character in afternoon series, “My Special Tatay,” who has mild intellectual disability.  Despite his condition, Boyet raised his own family.

Currently, Guzman is part of “Dragon Lady,” an afternoon prime fantasy drama headlined by Rodriguez and Janine Guiterrez.

He plays the character of Goldwyn Chen, a business tycoon from a rich Chinese family.

Guzman inked a contract with GMA Artist Center in January 2019.

He won Best Supporting Actor during the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2017 for his performance in the movie, “Deadma Walking.”

In the film, he played Mark, the Crying Diva and best friend of John, Joross Gamboa’s character. /bmjo
