Homes of two village chiefs peppered with bullets

Cebu City, Philippines — Two strafing incidents occurred in two neighboring mountain barangays in Cebu City on Thursday dawn, April 4, 2019.

Police Major Romeo Maramag Jr., Pardo Police Station Chief, confirmed this in a press release issued to members of the media on Thursday morning. 

Initial investigation showed that the houses involved were owned by the village chiefs of Sinsin and Sudlon II. 

Five unidentified gunmen were seen by witnesses stopping by the house of Sudlon II Barangay Captain Pricillo Albores around 1 a.m. Thursday, and peppered it with bullets.

Police also said that around twenty minutes later, four masked gunmen went and fired at the house of Sinsin Barangay Captain Aurelio Laspoña. 

Recovered from the two crime scenes were 14 empty shell of M16, three .45 empty shell and two slugs of .45., and four empty shells from a 9mm.

Both Albores and Laspoña are allied under the Bando Osmeña Pundok Kauswagan (BOPK). /bmjo
