3-on-3 basketball tournament in Mandaue City on April 27

Cebu City, Philippines — Fast and fierce 3×3 basketball action will be on full display on April 27, 2019 as the Ginebra San Miguel 3×3 Tapang ng Tatluhan gets underway in Mandaue City.

Back in Cebu for the fourth straight year, this competition is open to players 18-years old and above and unlike most tournaments of this nature, accepts players who have played in the PBA D-League, the Cesafi, the UAAP and the NCAA.

The tournament will be having an organizational meeting on Saturday, 9 a.m., at the Ateneo de Cebu campus along Mango Avenue. Interested parties are asked to look for tournament organizer Rico Navarro.

Each team shall be composed of four players and must submit any of the following: National Statistics Office-issued birth certificate and school ID, or passport or any government-issued ID. Teams must also purchase two cases of Ginebra San Miguel products, which amounts to P2,040.

The champion team will be awarded with a P20,000 cash prize but more importantly, will earn the right to represent Cebu in the national finals on July 5-7, 2019 at Robinson’s Ermita and the Araneta Coliseum. The eventual national champion will come away with a whopping P250,000 cash prize.

Registration period is until April 26, 2019 on a first come, first served basis.

Those that want to register may pay a visit to Ms. Ising Navarro at the Ateneo de Cebu campus along Mango Avenue from Monday to Friday, 2-5 p.m. They can also look for Rico Navarro at the Ateneo de Cebu campus in Canduman, Mandaue City, Mondays to Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. /bmjo
