Four-year-old boy’s welcome remarks goes viral
CEBU CITY, Philippines — For his eloquent delivery of the school ceremony’s welcome remarks, a four-year-old boy from San Francisco, Camotes Island has earned the praises of people in the online sphere.
A video of Jarred Lorenz Orogo was posted by his mother, Mhariz Pulvera Orogo, on April 2, 2019 and now has more than 500,000 views as of April 9, 2019 at 1:51 p.m.
Jarred is the first honor of Santiago Day Care Center.
When he was called to go up on stage, Jarred confidently climbed up the stairs and took the microphone from the emcee.
He started off by welcoming fellow pupils, teachers, parents, and special guests from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). He ended his speech with three words, “Welcome, welcome, welcome!”
The video, which ran for one minute and 27 seconds, showed an eloquent Jarred, who delivered the speech in the Visayan language. As of April 9, 2019, 1:51 p.m., it now has 575,000 views, 15,168 shares, 194 comments and 13,000 reactions.

According to Jarred’s mother, the boy memorized the speech for two days with the help of the Day Care teacher, Alexander Dagatan.
Mhariz said she is a proud mother, who posted the video on his Facebook account. But she did not expect that the video will go viral.
Apart from being his class’ top student, Jarred also earned the following awards: Good in Numbers, Active in Drawing, Generous Child, Active in Singing, Good in Leadership, Most Helpful Child, Responsible Child, Child of the Year Gold Medal Award and Certificate in Singer of the Year. /celr
