Actor Matteo Guidicelli joins Philippine Army
CEBU CITY, Philippines — Cebuano actor Matteo Guidicelli has found another way to serve his country.
The 29-year-old actor confirmed in an Instagram post that he officially joined the Philippine Army on April 15, Monday.
“I officially joined the Philippine Army today because I love my country. I would like to thank the people that have been very supportive. Exciting times ahead,” he captioned the photos.
The photos show Guidicelli giving a salute to the higher ranks in the Army and raising his right hand.
The photos were taken at Army Reserve Command (ARESCOM) – Tanza, Cavite Chapter.
Aside from the photos, he also shared videos taken at the ARESCOM. Some videos show some explosives and a shooting range.
Three days ago, the Kapamilya actor already gave hints that he would be joining the Philippine Army after he posted photos taken at the First Scout Ranger Regiment in Camp Tecson in San Miguel Bulacan.
“Always respect to our flag and to the people that protect us,” he said.
This is not the first time that Guidicelli expressed his interest in serving the country.
Last March, he was inducted as a new officer of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Auxiliary 408 Squadron.
The Cebuano actor who recently signed with Viva Artist Agency is the boyfriend of Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo.
He is known for his role in ABS-CBN series like, “Dolce Amore” and “Bagani.”/dbs
