Cebu City, Philippines —The Department of Environment and Natural Resources in Central Visayas (DENR-7) said it will be holding a tree planting, mangrove planting and coastal clean-up in Luyang, Carmen on April 22, 2019.

Engineer Viernov Grefalde, the Officer-in-charge in the Enforcement Division of DENR-7, told reporters on Wednesday, April 17, that this project is held in line with the celebration of Earth Day.

Grefalde was a guest at the Kapihan sa PIA Cebu at Azia Suites and Residences at Rahmann Extension, Cebu City, together with other officials from DENR-7.

Grefalde explained that they selected to hold it in Luyang because its river is supplying potable water in the province. /bmjo
