CEBU CITY, Philippines — A man’s momentary fit of rage cost him his house in Sitio Caimito, Barangay Cogon Pardo in Cebu City at past 10 p.m. on Black Saturday, April 20.

This after, Rodrigo Abarquez allegedly accidentally hit a lamp at their altar after he got angry at his son inside their room.

The lamp allegedly fell and started the fire which razed Abarquez house, said Senior Fire Officer 1 (SFO1) Maurice Oporto, fire investigator of the Cebu City Fire Department, in a phone interview with CDN Digital on Saturday.

Oporto said that they estimated the damage to property at P45,000.

Aside from that, no one was hurt in the fire.
