CEBU CITY, Philippines — LoveYourself Cebu, the volunteer-run organization dedicated to combat HIV/AIDS, clarified that the April 27 event that will launch its community center here will not have Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray in attendance.

“While both Pia Wurtzbach and Catriona Gray, as ambassadors of LoveYourself, were invited to the LoveYourself White House launching in Cebu this coming Saturday [April 27], both camps have not confirmed their attendance,” the organization said in a statement sent to CDN Digital.

Cebuano singer, Karencitta, will be in Cebu on April 27 to grace the launching.

Reports of the two Miss Universe queens coming to Cebu stirred quite an excitement especially among pageant fans.

But the organization clarified that the two queens will not be joining the launching of LoveYourself White House, a community center established to be a safe place for people to get free HIV-related services such as education, counseling, testing and treatment.

“Maybe they can join us in the next events? We’re sending positive vibes to the world, the universe rather, so that we may see the silver lining in our current situation (in relation to our fight to end HIV/AIDS by 2030),” LoveYourself Cebu said in a statement, alluding to portions of Wurtzbach and Gray’s winning answers in Miss Universe.

LoveYourself currently has five existing community centers in the country.

LoveYourself White House will be the organization’s sixth community center.
