San Francisco goes 4-1 in Red Durano cup

Cebu City, Philippines—San Francisco is now on a roll as it grabbed its second straight win with a 74-60 win over Tudela in the 9th Congressman Red Durano Cup on Thursday, April 25, 2019, in San Francisco.

San Francisco grabbed Tudela by the throat as early as the first period, which ended with the home team ahead, 18-9. 

San Francisco kept its foot on the gas pedal and brought a 50-35 lead heading to the fourth to boost its win-loss record to 4-1.

Clark Tampus and Ivan Formentera each had 17 points to lead the way for the team coached by former University of Perpetual Help standout Christian Liaz.

In the other game of the evening, Poro edged Borbon, 68-65, to push its record to 2-4. 

Carl Lejesta led the way for Poro with 23 markers while Rizaldo Miao added 15.

Borbon dropped to 3-5. /bmjo
