Cebu City, Philippines—Compostela imposed their will on Tudela and came away with a 66-34 victory in the 9th Congressman Red Durano Cup basketball tournament on Friday, April 26, 2019, in Pilar.
Compostela leaned on a fantastic second half showing that saw them outscore their opponents, 41-19, to blow the game wide open and come up with their seventh win in nine games.
Kobe Paradiang had 13 points while John Pilapil added 12 for the winning side.
Tudela dropped to 2-6.
In the other game, Pilar nipped Sogod, 65-64, for their second win of this tournament.
Jemar Alburo scored 21 points to lead the way for the hometown favorites while Mark Berezo added 13. /bmjo
